Install Philips AirStudio+ App from Apple App store.
If your network is hidden, please set the router to show SSID to others. You can change it back to be hidden after setup successfully.
Check the SSID of your Wi-Fi network:
Make sure the SSID consists of alphanumeric characters only and does not contains any space or special characters such as % # * / . (You may need to consult the user manual of the router.)
Check the password of your Wi-Fi network:
Make sure the password does not contain special characters such as # / : ; ‘ . (You may need to consult the user manual of the router.)
Write down your SSID and password on a piece of paper.
The router is powered on and is working properly.
Make sure Mac address filtering is not enabled on your router. (This feature is usually not enabled in most routers. But if you have enabled Mac address filtering before and need to disable it, consult the user manual of the router.)
Make sure (1) the Wi-Fi network of your Apple iOS device is on and (2) your Apple iOS device is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
RunAirStudio+ App on your Apple iOS device.
Tap Wireless Hifi Setup.
An overview of the steps for setup would be shown. Read the steps and tap Next.
Connect the speaker to power supply.
On the App, tap on Next.
- The LED indication on the speaker blinks amber. Wait for a short while (~30sec) until the LED light turns into solid amber.
Tip: When the LED indication is in solid amber, the speaker is not connected to a network and is ready for setup.
Select "Standard setup" from below screen:
Read the below screen:
(i) Short press the Wi-Fi Setup button (located on the back of the speaker) for less than 1 sec.
(ii) The light will blink amber again and then after a while it will blink amber and white alternatively .
(iii) On the App, tap Next.
The setup screen would be displayed as below:
Check the colour of the LED indication on the speaker. The light should blink in amber and white for standard setup.
On the Apple iOS device, press Home button to exit the App.
On the Apple iOS device, go to Settings -> Wi-Fi.
When “Philips_Install” appears on the network list, tap it to connect to Philips Install network and wait for the tick mark ( ).
On the Apple iOS device, press Home button.
Tap the Philips AirStudio App Icon to return to AirStudio+ App.
Wait for a short while (~20 sec) when the App is searching for the speaker.
Once the speaker is found (if not, please power off the speaker and try again from step 1), the following screen will be displayed, enter the password of your Wi-Fi network. Tap Next.
Important: The password is case sensitive.
Validate the wireless network name. Ensure it is the same Wi-Fi network that your Apple iOS device is connected to.
Select a name for your speaker. Alternatively, enter your desired name via the custom option. Tap OK.
The speaker is now connecting to the network, indicated by the screen shown below.
The LED light will change from blinking amber to solid amber ; and then to solid white . Select one of the options below:
If the LED indication on the speaker turns amber, follow the steps on the App to set up the speaker again.
If the LED indication on the speaker turns white, the speaker is now connected to your network. The following screen would be displayed. Tap on "Rock 'n' Roll" to enjoy music.
