What is DivX – ?

Do I need to register my player before I can play DivX files?
No. you only have to register your player if you are using the DivX VOD service.

What is VOD?
VOD stands for Video on Demand. It allows you to purchase or rent videos for viewing on your player.

Do I need to pay for files?
It depends on the site. There are many sites that offer free DivX videos. 

Why do some DivX files play on my PC, but not my DVD player?
One of the common reasons is that the PC can support higher resolutions. You will see the message “Resolution is not supported.” displayed on the DVD player. There may also be an issue with the DivX file.
