This may be due to options chosen in the ripping software when you rip the digital audio from CD.

When you rip a digital audio, make sure:

• The Constant Bit Rate (CBR) parameter for the .wma files is within 192Kbps.
• The .wma file is encoded with Windows Manager Audio (WMA) version 9.0 or earlier.
  Do not encode .wma files with Windows Manager Audio (WMA) version 9.2 or later.
• The .wma file is NOT created with lossless format.
• The audio is NOT ripped with Digital Right Management (DRM) protection.

If the WMA file is not ripped by you but is Digital Right Management (DRM) protected, the use of the file is inhibited or limited by the content provider. Therefore it cannot be played in your device.
