Does the 3D technology affect the TV´s performance when it displays ´normal´ 2D pictures?

Answer

The Active 3D technology does not influence or deteriorate 2D pictures in any way whatsoever!

The element that separates the right and the left side of the image (also called the polarizer) is included in the Active 3D glasses, rather than the TV screen itself.

Due to the Active 3D technology, our new 3D Ready TVs continue to deliver the same stunning performance with 2D images. In contrast, TVs that employ ´passive´ 3D technology have the polarizer integrated on the TV screen, which reduces the light output for 2D signals, as if you were watching TV while wearing sunglasses.
