Any tip to ensure the file transferred to the device is playable?

Answer

Yes. Make sure the files are transferred to the device via Philips Songbird.

In the process of file transferring, Philips Songbird would change the file format of unplayable files into a format that is playable in the device. On the contrary, transferring the file via other means (eg, drag and drop) would not change unplayable files into playable ones.
