What should I do if I see the following messages when I play a disc: READ, READING, READING CD, 1 --:--, or CDrEAD?

Answer

Don’t do anything; these messages are normal when your player is reading a disc. The messages disappear automatically after about 10 seconds for audio CDs and after about a minute for MP3 CD-ROM.
