With Auto sync, you can sync data when the applications are not running, for example, email, calendar, or information.

1. Press the Options button.
   
   
   
2. On the Options menu, tap on Settings. 
   
   
   
3. Tap on Accounts & sync.
   
   
   
4. Make sure the boxes for Background data and Auto-sync are selected. 
   

Some applications with login account offer different sync options. In this case, tap on the account under “Manage accounts” to select the data to be synced. For example, tap on the Google account to select calendar information to be synced automatically.

Note: Auto synchronization occurs only when applications are not running.
