Question

How do I connect my player to my home network, using an Ethernet cable?

Answer

Before you start, make sure that:

  • You have a standard, CAT5 Ethernet cable. It is not provided with your player.
  • You are using a Universal Plug and Play (uPnP) router, and the router is switched on.
  • Your computer and player are connected to the same network.
  • Your computer and router firewall are properly set and allow media sharing.

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable to your router and your player.
The lights on the Ethernet connector flash when the router is connected and switched on.
  2. Switch on your TV and go to the correct source for your player.
  3. On your player remote control, press and select [Setup] > [Network] > [Network Installation], and then press OK.
  4. Select [Wired (Ethernet)] and press OK.
  5. Follow the instructions on TV, choosing the default options to set up your connection.
