How do I insert the batteries?

Make sure your hands and the appliance are dry when inserting the batteries. Remove the battery compartment cap from the bottom of the handle by pulling on the grips. Make sure the + and - poles of the batteries match the appropriate location inside the handle. Insert two AA-size 1.5-volt alkaline batteries into the handle. Firmly push the battery compartment cap back onto the handle until it locks.
