Question

Tips when wearing braces or dental implants

Answer

Make sure the brush head is placed at an angle between the brackets and the gumline. Using light pressure, gently wiggle the tips of the longer bristles between your teeth for 2 seconds. Then gently roll the brush handle so the bristles clean the bracket and the rest of the tooth before you glide the bristles to the next tooth. Repeat this until you have brushed all your teeth. Don't force the bristles into gaps in the braces. Our mini brush head is especially suited for people with braces and other site-specific cleaning needs; it is 40% smaller than our Standard brush head and has a slightly longer neck. Please be aware that brush heads wear out faster when used on braces.
Dental implants?
The Sonicare toothbrush has been proven safe for use on implant and restorative materials. However, if you've only recently had dental surgery to place an implant, you should ask your dental professional when to start using your Sonicare toothbrush again.
