Question

Why does the parent unit react too quickly to other sounds?

Answer

The Baby unit will also pick up other sounds than just those of your baby. Here are some options that you can use to decrease the pick up of surrounding sounds.

  1. The baby unit is too far from the baby. The Baby Unit will pick up other sounds than those of your baby. Move the baby unit closer to the baby (but observe the minimum distance of 3.5 feet/1 meter).
  2. The voice activation sensitivity is set too high. Decrease the voice activation sensitivity. (Not for SCD603)
  3. The baby unit is too close to another sound source. Move the baby unit away from that sound source (e.g. window).
