1. Launch Songbird and then connect your player to your computer.
2. Click the icon of your player on the left hand side.
3. Select the “Tools” tab shown in the picture below 
    
    
    
4. Click “Check for updated firmware” shown in the picture below 
    
    
    

Songbird will then help to check if the firmware in your player is up to date.
