How many different connector types are there for HDMI cables?

Answer

There are four (4) different connector types, based on different applications:

Type A – Standard sized (13.9 mm) used in equipment like HDTVs, Blu-ray disc players, multimedia PCs, and gaming systems.
Type C – Mini Sized (10.4 mm) used in digital camcorders and cameras.
Type D – Micro Sized (5.8 mm) used in mobile applications, like cell phones.
Type E - Automotive (17.9 mm) - used in automotive connections, for automotive manufacturers only.
