Question

Can I use baking paper or aluminum foil in the airfryer?

Answer

Yes, it is possible to use baking paper and aluminum foil in the airfryer.

Note: Never cover the basket bottom completely with this or any other material! For the food to be cooked well, there needs to be a proper airflow through the basket. If you cover the bottom of the basket, it reduces the airflow in the basket, which diminishes the cooking performance of your airfryer.

Instructions on how to use baking paper or aluminum foil in the airfryer:

Note: Never put baking paper or aluminum foil in the airfryer without placing food on it - the baking paper/aluminum foil will be sucked into the heater and could start to burn. Also make sure that the baking paper or aluminum foil used is only slightly bigger than the food you cook.

  • How to use baking paper in the airfryer:
You can use baking paper in a baking tin, provided you make sure it hardly sticks out beyond the tin. Make sure it never sticks out beyond the basket edge.
  • How to use aluminum foil in the airfryer:
You can use aluminum foil and metal trays in the airfryer. Use as little aluminum foil as possible and make sure there is enough space around the food to let the airflow pass through.

Note:
Do not put baking paper or aluminum foil in the bottom of the pan where the grease and dirt is collected. If you cover this area, the airflow in the basket will be disrupted and you will not get a good cooking result.
