Question

On the Monitor list on the App, a monitor is grayed-out. What should I do?

Answer

  • If your smartphone/tablet is on a 3G/LTE network, try to watch later, or at a different location.

Philips In.Sight Monitor is designed to work with 3G/LTE networks. Applying highly compressed video streaming (h.264) technology, the monitor is very efficient in using 3G data.

However, signal strength and hence data transmission speed provided by network service provider can vary with time and with location. If the network does not have enough bandwidth (ie, not enough speed to transfer data of the video stream), video streaming of the monitor can be compromised, resulting in a bad video quality or even a greyed out monitor.

  • If there is a red exclamation mark on the grayed out monitor, the monitor is not connected to your Wi-Fi network to which you have first set. Make sure the Wi-Fi connection is working and it is not blocked. Also, make sure the power supply of the monitor is securely connected.
