How can I improve the video quality of the monitor?
Below are some tips to improve video quality:
- For the monitor, use a high-speed Wi-Fi connection with upload speed of at least 800kbps.
- Place the monitor close to the Wi-Fi router. Alternatively, use a Wi-Fi repeater (For example, the Apple Airport Express) to expand the Wi-Fi network.
- If the smartphone/tablet is connected via a 3G network, video quality varies at different time and different locations. This is because signal strength and the resulting data transmission speed provided by network service provider can vary with time and with location. If the network does not have enough bandwidth (ie, not enough speed to transfer data of the video stream), video streaming of the monitor can be compromised, resulting in a bad video quality or a greyed out monitor.
- The monitor is designed to work 24 hours a day. But when it’s very dark the monitor can inevitably have a lower video quality. Consider adding some light near the monitor.
