Descaling is as important as changing the oil in your car every 3,000 miles. Over time, minerals that are in the water build up inside your boiler and water lines. The descaling process helps to ensure the machine’s longevity and clear out any buildup that may be present. If this process is ignored, the mineral buildup could become so great that the water lines become totally clogged and the boiler can be affected. For normal household use it is recommended to descale at least once every 3 months, depending on how often the machine is used and the hardness of the water.
