How to import a playlist from Windows Media Player to the device?

  1. In Windows Media Player, save the playlist file as .M3U playlist file
Note: This step is required because playlist files are saved as .WPL in Windows Media Player by default. In order to import the playlist file to Philips Songbird, the playlist files have to be changed to .M3U or .PHP3 file type.
Refer to Microsoft Windows Media Player for details on converting playlist file types.
  2. Start Philips Songbird Software on your computer.
  3. Click on File; and select Import a Playlist.
  4. On the pop-up box, locate the playlist file.
  5. Click on Open.
  6. The playlist is added to Philips Songbird successfully.

  7. Connect the player to the computer using the USB cable. Wait until Philips Songbird recognizes the player.
  8. Drag and drop the playlist file to the player.

Note: The playlist file is only a list. It does not contain the song files. Therefore, make sure the song files are also transferred to Philips Songbird if you want to play the songs from Philips Songbird.
