You can solve this problem by restarting the app.

Press the home button of your iPhone/iPod touch quickly 2 times. All active apps will be shown at the bottom of the screen. Find the Wake-up Light app. Pressand hold the icon until a '-' mark appears on the icon. Press the '-' mark to stop the app.
Press the Wake-up Light icon again to restart the Wake-up Light app.
