Question

My player is connected to an external audio system such as audio amplifier system. When I play a disc with the player, the audio/sound does not synchronize with the video/picture. What should I do?

Answer

If the player is connected to an external audio system (for example audio amplifier system), follow the steps below to check whether the player is faulty or not.

  1. Disconnect the audio output of the player from the external audio system or other device.
  2. Connect the audio output of the player to TV directly (using HDMI connection, or audio L/R connection (ie, the red and white cable)).

Play a disc with the player. If the audio/sound synchronizes with the video/screen, the player is functioning well. If not, the player may need service.

To solve the problem mentioned in the question, follow the steps below:

If your external audio system is equipped with the audio synchronization function:

  1. Resume the original connection. (That is, connect the audio output of the player to the external audio system).
  2. Set the time delay in the audio synchronization (in main menu).
Note: You may need to refer to the user manual of the external audio device for setting the audio synchronization.

If your external audio system is not equipped with the audio synchronization function:

  1. Connect the audio output of the player to the TV (using HDMI connection, or audio L/R connection (ie, the red and white cable)).
  2. The synchronization problem is probably because of the external audio system, please contact its manufacturer for alternative solution.
