How do I upgrade my SHOQBOX with the latest firmware?
Download the latest version of the Device Manager application from http://www.philips.com/support. You may need to enter your language preference and the model number e.g.PSS100, to access the Device Manager application upgrade file.
Double click the downloaded execution file to start the installation of the Device Manager.
Once the installation is completed, connect the SHOQBOX to the computer using the supplied USB cable
Plug your SHOQBOX into a wall outlet with the supplied AC adapter.
Launch Device Manager from Start->Program->Philips->Philips PSS110 (or the model number of your SHOQBOX) on your PC.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete firmware upgrade. (Please do not disconnect the player during the upgrading process as this interruption may damage the firmware!)
The Device Manager will close automatically once the success message is displayed.
Close all opened applications and safely remove your SHOQBOX by clicking on the icon in your Windows task bar tray.
When prompted, “The USB Mass Storage Device can now be safely removed from the system”, click OK and unplug your SHOQBOX.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR PLAYER FROM THE MAIN POWER SUPPLY WHEN YOU FINISH COPYING THE FIRMWARE FILE TO THE PLAYER.
Your player will display “UPGRADING FIRMWARE…” once disconnected from the computer.
After firmware upgrade is complete, it will reset itself, showing the PHILIPS splash screen.
