Question

The error message: PLAYER PROBLEM, PLEASE CONNECT PLAYER TO PC, START DEVICE MANAGER ON PC, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS scrolls on the display of my PSA.

Answer

You have a file error: system file may be missing or you have a format error on your PSA. To remedy, the PSA needs to be restored to the factory setting.

  1. Connect the PSA to the computer with the provided USB cable. Make sure that Windows Media Player along with any other applications are closed and with a fresh battery inserted in the battery compartment 
  2. Launch the Philips Device Manager by double clicking the Device Manager icon at the task bar on your computer. 
  3. Select the REPAIR tab on the dialogue box and then click Repair to start repairing.
    IMPORTANT: All music & content of your PSA will be erased once the it is repaired.
  4. Once the repair is complete a dialogue box will pop up; click OK and unplug the PSA from the computer.
