The error message: PLAYER PROBLEM, PLEASE CONNECT PLAYER TO PC, START DEVICE MANAGER ON PC, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS scrolls on the display of my PSA.
You have a file error: system file may be missing or you have a format error on your PSA. To remedy, the PSA needs to be restored to the factory setting.
- Connect the PSA to the computer with the provided USB cable. Make sure that Windows Media Player along with any other applications are closed and with a fresh battery inserted in the battery compartment
- Launch the Philips Device Manager by double clicking the Device Manager icon at the task bar on your computer.
- Select the REPAIR tab on the dialogue box and then click Repair to start repairing.
IMPORTANT: All music & content of your PSA will be erased once the it is repaired.
- Once the repair is complete a dialogue box will pop up; click OK and unplug the PSA from the computer.
