Transfer music with Windows Media Player 10

  1. Hook up your GoGear with the PC via the supplied USB cable. Make sure a battery with sufficient power is inserted in the device.
  2. Launch the version of Windows Media Player 10 installed in your computer.
    • IMPORTANT: Please make sure that your GoGear is connected to the computer before launching of Windows Media Player or else the device will not be recognized by Windows Media Player.
  3. Click Sync or on the File menu, point to CDs and Devices, and then click Synchronize….
  4. In the Items to Copy pane, in the drop-down list, click the playlist, category, or other item that you want to copy.
  5. Click the check boxes next to any files you want to copy.
  6. In the Items on Device pane, in the drop-down list, click on Philips as the device to copy your files to.
  7. Click the Start Sync button.
  8. The Windows Media Player uses the Philips Plug in to verify if there is sufficient storage space on the device to copy the selected files. If there is sufficient space, the files are converted (if necessary) and copied to the portable device.
  9. Repeat steps 2-5 for any other items that you want to copy to your portable device.
  10. The Items on Device pane typically refreshes automatically when you connect a device to your computer, when you disconnect a device from your computer, or when you insert or remove storage media from a connected device. If the display does not refresh automatically, you can press F5 to refresh the display manually.
  11. Once the transfer is completed, close the Windows Media Player.
  12. Unplug the GoGear from the PC.
