No stereo sound.

Answer

Not all transmitted channels by the cable or broadcast stations are in stereo:

Try checking several major network stations to be sure that the station you have selected is broadcasted in stereo.

TV may not be in stereo mode:

Press the SAP button on the remote repeatedly until Stereo appears.

If you are using coaxial cable for connection, you may need to use a set of composite cables instead.

This will improve sound and picture quality.
