Question

Instructions for connecting the playback device for playback via 'S-VIDEO' input.

Answer

Unplug the TV and playback device before you make any connection

Playback via the rear S-VIDEO

  1. Use a S-Video cable (1), connect one end to the S-Video output jack of the playback device and the other end to the 'S-VIDEO' input jack on the back of the television.
  2. Use a RCA audio left and right cable (2), connect one end of the audio cables (red and white) to the audio right and left output jacks of the playback device and the other end to the 'AV2 IN AUDIO L' and 'R' jacks on the back of the television.
  3. Switch on the devices and press the button on the remote control repeatedly to select SVHS2.

Playback via the side S-VIDEO

  1. Use a S-Video cable (1), connect one end to the S-Video output jack of the playback device and the other end to the 'S-VIDEO' input jack on the side of the television.
  2. Use a RCA audio left and right cable (2), connect one end of the audio cables (red and white) to the audio right and left output jacks of the playback device and the other end to the 'L-AUDIO-R' input jacks on the side of the television.
  3. Switch on the devices and press the button on the remote control repeatedly to select SVHS.

Note: The S-Video connection will dominate over the video input. When a S-Video device is connected, it is best not to have a video signal connected to the 'AV2 IN VIDEO' input jack (for rear S-VIDEO) or the 'VIDEO IN' input jack (for side S-VIDEO).
