Time delay, jumping at midnight, incorrect date, time on system menu although it was set correctly, etc

Answer

  • If the player has transmission signal which provides good and reliable time date info via teletext, suggest to select Date-Time Setting --> auto option & sort the reliable time date channel to preset 1.

    1. Choose the preset 1 channel which can provide the good & reliable date time info via teletext


    2. Go to SYSTEM MENU, select CHANNEL SETUP option and follow by SORT CHANNELS


    3. Sort the desired channel P002 Ch005 (example only) to Preset 1 (P001) by shift it to the right 1st


    4. Move up the channel P002 Ch005 (example only), next to the current Preset 1 (P001) channel


    5. Shift the channel P002 Ch005 (example only) to the left (back into the list of preset channels)


    6. Press SYSTEM button. The desired channel should change to Preset 1 (P001)


    7. Go to SYSTEM MENU, select CLOCK option


    8. Go to DATE-TIME SETTING, ensure AUTO option is selected

 

  • If there is no transmission signal with good, reliable time date info, suggest user to select Date-Time Setting --> manual. Following steps can be checked whether recorder is downloading correct date time info or not.

    1. Set the System Menu -- > Clock --> Date-Time Setting --> Auto

    2. Choose the preset 1 channel which can provide the good & reliable date time info via teletext.

    3. Set the DVDR time to wrong date, time

    4. Use the channel up/down key to go to other channel

    5. Navigate to preset 1. Stay there for a few sec.

    6. Go back to system menu and check the date & time

    7. DVDR show correct current date, time info

    8. Conclude that preset 1 has reliable time date info & recorder can perform time date download from preset 1.
