If I click on the Control Panel icon in Windows explorer, Windows asks to insert a disk?

This is normal and can be ignored. The Control Panel presents itself as a removable mass-storage device to the host PC to which it is attached. However, one should always use ProntoEdit Professional (for configuration files), or the Firmware Updater (for firmware updates) to transfer data to the Control Panel.
