Why is there no sound when the PLAY button is pressed on my GoGear?


  • You may have a weak battery. Recharge your player
  • Check if your headphone plug has been inserted into the headphone jack of the unit completely
  • When you press the button, make sure that it is pressed and held for long enough until the display light up.
  • Check if the volume is at an audible level. Increase the volume using the VOLUME + button.
  • If your GoGear is in pause mode, press the button to resume playback.
  • Do a soft reset by using a pencil or similar small object to press the RESET pinhole and then press and hold the button to switch on the device.
  • If nothing works then try connecting your GoGear player to the computer and then use the Firmware Manager to recover your GoGear to the factory setting.
