Question

How can I remove or hide a part of a title I recorded on the hard disc ?

Answer

  1. Press HDD on the remote control. The HDD content menu appears
  2. Use the cursor buttons to highlight a title and press cursor right. The HDD title edit menu appears

  3. Check the last 2 items in the menu. If it says UNLOCK or UNPROTECT the title is locked or protected. You first have to unlock or unprotect it to be able to edit the title. If it says LOCK and PROTECT you can go on
  4. Use the cursor buttons to highlight Edit Title and press OK. The edit title playback screen appears.
  5. During playback, press PAUSE
  6. Use the cursor buttons and fast forward an fast backward buttons to navigate through the title. You can exactly mark the place to start. At the bottom of the screen you can read PRESS OK TO BEGIN EDITING
  7. Press OK to mark the beginning of the part you want to hide. At the bottom of the screen you read PRESS OK TO STOP EDITING
  8. Use the cursor buttons to go exactly to the place where you want to end the hided part. Press OK to mark the end of the part you want to hide. The editing has been successful
  9. At the bottom of the screen you can read PRESS OK TO BEGIN EDITING. You can repeat steps 6 to step 8 for each part you want to hide

In the EDIT mode the parts that are now hidden will still be visible. In PLAYBACK mode the hidden part is not visible anymore. In the HDD TITLE mode there will appear a new title with the same name and an added icon. This indicates that this is an edited title. When you archive this edited title on dvd the hidden parts will not be recorded.
