Why is there no sound when I play a DTS DVD?

Answer

Your player transfers the DTS bit stream though coaxial or HDMI output. Use a coaxial cable or HDMI cable to connect the audio from your player to a multi-channel receiver or HDMI receiver.

To set up sound for a multichannel receiver connected through a coaxial cable:

  1. Press SETUP on the player’s remote control. The system setup menu appears.
  2. Select [Audio Setup Page] > [Digital Audio Setup].
  3. Select [Digital Output], then press .
  4. Select [All] and press OK.
  5. Select [HDMI Audio Setup], then press .
  6. Select [OFF] and press OK.

To set up sound for an HDMI receiver connected through an HDMI cable:

  1. Press SETUP on the player’s remote control. The system setup menu appears.
  2. Select [Audio Setup Page] > [Digital Audio Setup].
  3. Select [HDMI Audio Setup], then press .
  4. Select [ON] and press OK.
