Question

How can I connect the audio to my TV when I connect an external device with a DVI to HDMI connection?

Answer

When you make a DVI-HDMI connection you have to make a separate audio connection, since DVI does not support audio.

There are two ways to connect a DVI device to your TV:

Side DVI to HDMI connection

Follow these steps to connect the devices:

  1. Switch the external device and the TV off.
  2. Connect the DVI-to-HDMI adapter from the 'DVI' connection of the external device to the 'HDMI' connection at the side of the TV.
  3. Connect the audio cable from the 'AUDIO OUT' connection of the external device to the 'AUDIO L R' connection at the side of the TV.
  4. Switch the external device and the TV on.
  5. Press the 'SOURCE' button on the remote control repeatedly to select HDMI SIDE and press the 'OK' button to accept.
