I have forgotten my 4-digit access code. How can I reset it?

Answer

Follow the instructions below to reset the 4-digit access code if you cannot remember it.

  1. Press the button on the remote control to access the home menu.
  2. Use the cursor buttons to select SETUP and press the 'OK' button to confirm.
  3. Select CHANNEL SETTINGS and press the ‘OK’ button.
     
     
     
  4. Press the cursor down to select CHILD LOCK and press the cursor right .
  5. Press the cursor down to select CHANGE CODE and press the cursor right .
  6. When the prompt CURRENT CODE appears on the screen, enter the universal code '8888'.
  7. Then enter an easily remembered new 4-digit access code and enter the new code a second time for confirmation.
  8. Press the button to exit the menu.

If you have not set your personal 4-digit access code when you first turned on the TV, you need to do this before you can use the Child lock feature.

  1. Press the button on the remote control to access the home menu.
  2. Use the cursor buttons to select SETUP and press the 'OK' button to confirm. 
  3. Select CHANNEL SETTINGS and press the ‘OK’ button.
     

     
  4. Press the cursor down to select CHILD LOCK and press the cursor right .
  5. Press the cursor down  to select SET CODE and press the cursor right .
  6. When the prompt NEW CODE appears on the screen, enter an easily remembered new 4-digit access code and enter the new code a second time for confirmation.
  7. Press the button to exit the menu.
