Question

I've connected my PC and TV to my wireless home network (IEEE 802.11g). When Wi-Fi MediaConnect starts projecting, why do I get an error message that a file cannot be read or found?

Answer

Neighboring wireless networks can interfere with your network and reduce the bandwidth for transmission. This can slow your network and cause video judder.

Try the following:

  • Use a wireless network based on IEEE 802.11n.
  • Check that your PC's firewall is allowing "Wi-Fi MediaConnect."
  • Decrease the projection bit rate.
  • Connect your TV and PC to the same network through different combinations of wired and wireless connections:
    1. TV wireless/PC wired
    2. TV wired/PC wireless
    3. TV wired/PC wired
    4. TV wireless/PC wireless
