Question

Can I use a microwave to heat my baby’s bottle or food?

Answer

If you are extremely careful. Microwaves heat quickly but unevenly. Always stir the food or liquid after heating, and carefully measure the temperature. Also, avoid heating mother’s milk in a microwave, as excessive heat may change or destroy important nutrients.

NOTE: Never leave the thermometer in the microwave! Only measure the temperature once the food or liquid has been taken out of the microwave.
