Why doesn't the appliance work?

Answer

The batteries may be empty. Recharge the batteries (see chapter ‘Getting started’, section ‘Charge your hand blender’).
The safety switch may not work properly. In this case, it is not possible to switch on the appliance and the charging lights blink red. Set the safety switch to the off (upper) position and switch on the appliance again. If the appliance still does not work after you have set the safety switch to the off position, turn to your Philips dealer or a service centre authorised by
Philips. The overload protection may have switched off the appliance because the motor is too hot. The charging
lights burn red for 16 seconds. Let the appliance cool down before you continue to use it. If the appliance still does not work, turn to your Philips dealer or a service centre authorised by Philips.
