The iron becomes warm. Is this normal?

The boiler is heating up in order to generate steam for ironing. Steam is forced through the steam hose into the iron under high pressure, the base of steam geneator and steam hose might get warm, but this is normal and not causing any danger. Please be careful, do not touch the soleplate during ironing.
