To prevent this from happening, you should store the cooling disc with the bottom pointing downwards in a well-closed plastic bag. This prevents ice and ice crystals from forming on the cooling disc. This way the disc will always be ready for use.
You can remove it by means of a plastic or wooden spatula.
Do not use metal utensils for this purpose to prevent damage.
Do not rinse the frozen cooling disc, as this will cause a thick film of ice on the outside of the disc right away.
