Why does my appliance not operate when I switch it on?


  • There may be a power failure or the power outlet to which the appliance is connected may not be live.
    => Check whether the power supply works. If it does, plug in another appliance to check whether the outlet is live.
  • The appliance is not suitable for the voltage to which it is connected.
    => Make sure that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local voltage.
  • The cord is damaged.
    => If the cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service center authorized by Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
