The dustbag-full indicator indicates that the airflow in the vacuum cleaner is blocked. In most cases this means that the dustbag is full. The dustbag-full indicator also changes color when an object gets stuck in the nozzle, tube or hose or when the exhaust filter or motor protection filter is clogged.
Please follow the steps below to restore the cleaning performance of the vacuum cleaner:
1. Make sure the hose, tube and nozzle are not blocked by an object
2. Make sure the exhaust filter is clean
3. Make sure the motor protection filter is clean (if applicable)
Check again whether the dustbag-full indicator changes color even when the nozzle is not placed on the floor
4. Replace the disposable dustbag with a new Philips s-bag or empty the reusable dustbag if the dustbag-full indicator still changes color permanently even when the dustbag is not yet full.

NOTE: When you use the vacuum cleaner to vacuum ashes, fine sand, lime, cement dust and similar substances, the pores of the dustbag become clogged. As a result, the dustbag-full indicator will indicate that the dustbag is full. Replace the disposable dustbag or empty the reusable dustbag, even if it is not yet full (see chapter ‘Replacing/emptying the dustbag’).
IMPORTANT: Only use Philips disposable dustbags or a Philips reusable dustbag with this appliance. Other dustbags might damage the motor of this appliance. Never reuse a disposable dustbag.
