In most cases loss of suction power is caused by the dust compartment being full or the filters being dirty.
See below for all possible causes of a loss of suction power and check if a cause applies to your appliance.
Cause 1: The dust compartment is full.
Empty the dust compartment. Press the nozzle release button to remove the detachable nozzle. Then shake the contents of the dust compartment into a dustbin (fig.1).
For a thorough clean, press the dust compartment release button to remove the dust compartment (fig.2) Take out the filter unit and empty the dust compartment.
Cause 2: The filter is clogged.
To maintain optimal suction performance, we advise you to clean the filters every 2 to 4 weeks. Remove the dust compartment and take the filter unit out of the dust compartment (fig. 1).
Clean the inner and outer filters. If the filter is really dirty, you can clean the filter in cold or lukewarm water. Never put the filter unit back when the filters are still wet! This will damage your appliance.
Note: The filters are not dishwasher-proof.
Cause 3: The nozzle or other accessories are clogged.
To clean the detachable nozzle, press the nozzle release button to remove it from the appliance (fig.1). The nozzle can be cleaned in warm water with some washing-up liquid. Make sure the nozzle is dry before you reattach it to the appliance.
Also check the other accessories that come with the vacuum cleaner and make sure they are not clogged.
Note: The nozzle and other accessories are not dishwasher-proof.
Cause 4: The batteries are not fully charged.
If you charge the vacuum cleaner when the on/off slide is in the 'on’ position, the charging light goes on but the appliance is not charged. Always make sure the on/off slide of the vacuum cleaner is in the 'off’ position during charging. Also make sure you place the vacuum cleaner on the charger properly and that you insert the adapter into the wall socket properly and that you insert the small plug into the charger properly.
Tip: You can always put the appliance back on the charger to charge it, even when it is not completely empty.
