Question

Why does liquid leak from the vacuum cleaner?

Answer

This problem may have various causes. See below for all possible causes and solutions.

Possible causes and solutions:

  1. The filter and/or the dustbag compartment was/were still wet when you placed it/them back into/onto the appliance.
Always make sure the filter is dry before you place it back into the dust compartment and the dust compartment itself is also dry before you assemble it onto the appliance.

  2. The filter holder is not placed properly in the dust compartment.
Always make sure the filter and the deflector have been placed in the dust compartment properly before you start sucking up liquids with the vacuum cleaner.

  3. The maximum amount of liquid the dust compartment can hold has been exceeded.
    Please empty the dust compartment.

  4. The vacuum cleaner is not held in the correct way during use.
Always suck up liquids with the nozzle pointing downward and with the vacuum cleaner at an angle of about 30 degrees.
