Why is the machine not working even though its on/off switch is set to ON?


If the machine's on/off switch is set to ON, but the machine does not respond when the buttons are pressed, the boiler is probably overheated. When the boiler overheats, the internal safety device is triggered.
The internal safety device can only be reset by a qualified service center. Please return the appliance to your dealer or contact the Philips Consumer Care Center.

To prevent re-occurrence:
Make sure you refill the machine's water circuit after you have used the steam function or after a long period of disuse.

Instructions for refilling the water circuit:

  • Fill the water tank with water.
  • Select the 'coffee' function and open the steam spout. After dispensing one glass of hot water, the water circuit is refilled.
