Question

How do I use the contact grill position?

Answer

This position is especially suitable for quick high-temperature grilling, for example rump steaks or hamburgers. But it is also suitable for making toasted sandwiches or paninis. It can also be used for baking waffles with the waffle plate. Both grilling plates are in contact with the food.

How to use the grill in the contact grill position with the grill plates: – Open the grill halfway. (Fig.1)
– Place a plate or a grease tray under the drainage opening to collect the fat or juice. (Fig.2)
– Put the food in the middle of the lower grilling plate. (Fig.3)
– Close the appliance by lowering the upper plate carefully onto the food. The upper plate now rests on the food, causing it to be grilled evenly on both sides. (Fig.4)
– Open the appliance when the required grilling time has elapsed and remove the food with a wooden or plastic spatula.

How to use the grill in the contact grill position with the waffle plates: – Open the grill halfway. (Fig.1)
– Place a half or whole scoop of dough in the middle of each waffle form in the lower waffle plate.
– Close the appliance by lowering the upper plate carefully onto the dough. The upper plate now rests on the dough, causing it to be baked from all sides. (Fig.4)
– Open the appliance when the required grilling time has elapsed and remove the waffles with a wooden or plastic spatula.

Tips: – The grilling time depends on the type of ingredients, their thickness and your personal taste.
Note: See the table below for recommended grilling times (position B is the contact grill position).
– If you want to grill another batch of food, remove excess oil from the plates with a piece of kitchen paper.
