The display of the SmartPro Active shows an error code. What should I do?

Several error codes may appear on the display. Each error code has a different cause and a different solution.

Error code E1
Cause: One or both wheels are stuck.
Solution: Set the on/off switch to 'off.' Remove the fluff, hair, thread, or wire that is caught around the wheel suspension.

Cause: One or both side brushes are stuck.
Solution: Clean the side brushes.

Error code E2
Cause: The top cover is not present or is not closed properly.
Solution: When the top cover is not present or is not closed properly, the robot does not work. Place the top cover on the robot properly.

Error code E3
Cause: The bumper is stuck.
Solution: Press the on/off button to stop the robot. Lift the robot so that its bumper comes free.

Error code E4
Cause: The robot was lifted while it was cleaning.
Solution: Press the on/off button to stop the robot. Then press the on/off button again to make the
robot resume cleaning normally.

Error code E5
Cause: The robot is cleaning a dark or black surface, which triggers the drop-off sensors. This causes the robot to move in an unusual pattern.
Solution: Press the on/off button and then move the robot to a lighter-colored part of the floor. If the problem continues to occur on lighter-colored floors, contact the Consumer Care Center in your country: Contact Page

Cause: The robot is cleaning a floor that reflects sunlight quite strongly. This triggers the drop-off sensors and causes the robot to move in an unusual pattern.
Solution: Close the curtains to block sunlight from entering the room.

Error code E6 Cause: The rechargeable battery was not inserted correctly.
Solution: See 'How to insert the rechargeable battery' article for detailed instructions.

Cause: The power switch is set to 'off' while the robot is on the docking station.
Solution: Set the power switch to 'on.'
