Question

I noticed a wet spot on a garment during steaming. Is this normal?

Answer

It's normal to see a few wet spots on garments, especially when you first begin steaming. This is caused by steam condensation inside the steamer head. When the steam is ready, release the initial steam for a few seconds before you start.
Pressing the steamer head against a non-permeable surface, such as door, is not recommended, as it can cause condensation on the surface and transfer the wet spot to the garment. As an alternative, you can contact Philips Consumer Care at www.philips.com/support to purchase the StyleMat.
